There is a unique story behind our “Convertibles” shoe concept. Everybody LOVES a good story...so here goes!
As a child I had to wear "corrective" shoes until the age of 12. It seemed that whatever style was in vogue at the time...MY shoes were the most "out of style" ones ever made. I have vivid memories of being called such names like "Granny Clampit". That was the year I had particularly ugly, brown brogans on my feet!
I was not allowed to walk barefoot in the summer; or even wear sandals for that matter! When those ugly shoes came off for the final time...I couldn't get enough of pretty shoes! SHOES! GLORIOUS SHOES! I wanted every pretty pair I saw.
I am all grown up now and I still have this wonderful fascination with that utilitarian accessory called a shoe! I have whole sections of my walk-in closet devoted to them...my cherished trophies that are a symbol of liberation from all the teasing, tantrums, and tears (Sorry Mom!) I am ALWAYS thinking about shoes! What pair to buy? What pairs to pack? Thus came about this great concept of a classy sandal, with ALL TYPES of interchangeable tops. I hope you have as much fun wearing them as I have creating them! Convertibles...you really do just pop the top and go! So for all you ladies out there with shoe obsessions, Convertibles are the shoes for you...one shoe...many tops! We hope you have as much fun wearing them as we did creating them.
